I was interested in climbing since I moved to Singapore. In 2000 I attended a basic sports climbing class at the Singapore Mountaineering Federation.

In 2002, I moved to the Pacific Northwest of the US the Mecca of climbing in the US. Influenced by my friend Aish, I attended the Basic Mountaineering Education Program organized by the renowned Mazamas.
